Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Docable, a Git-based, AI-powered documentation tool (“Service”), provided by Abhijeet Dash (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By registering, accessing, or using Docable, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction (for example, under 18 in India), you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. By using Docable, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

  • Provide accurate and complete information.
  • Keep your login credentials secure.
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Confidentiality (Non-Disclosure)

Because Docable may contain unreleased features, designs, and proprietary technology:

  • You agree not to disclose, share, or make public any non-public information, content, features, or materials you access through the Service (“Confidential Information”).
  • Confidential Information includes, but is not limited to: source code, AI algorithms, internal tools, product roadmaps, and unreleased documentation.
  • This obligation lasts for 3 years from your last access to the Service, or until such information is publicly released by us.
  • You may use Confidential Information only for the purpose of evaluating and using the Service as intended.

4. User Content

  • You retain ownership of all content you create and store in Docable.
  • By uploading or creating content in Docable, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate any laws or infringe any rights.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in Docable (including software, design, AI models, logos, and trademarks) are owned by us and are protected under copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service as permitted by these Terms. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, copy, or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

6. AI-Powered Features

  • AI-generated outputs are suggestions and may not be accurate, complete, or reliable.
  • You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it.
  • We may store anonymized prompts and outputs for improving AI performance.

7. Acceptable Use

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes.
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Do not share your account without permission.
  • Do not use the Service in a way that could harm or interfere with its operation.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, but confidentiality and IP clauses survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 6 months prior to the claim (or $0 if free).

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Your City, India].
